Drug Collection Day in New Jersey April 28, 2018

The first of two annual Drug Take Back (collection) days is this Saturday, April 28.

This Saturday is a Prescription Drug Take Back Event. On April 28, police departments and other facilities will be set up to accept unwanted, unused, or even illegal drugs that you want to get rid off, so they can be properly destroyed.

"Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to potential accidental poisoning, misuse, and overdose. Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives and protects the environment."

We know that unwanted "extra" drugs in medicine cabinets at home present a real challenge for those suffering addiction disorders and drug addiction. Turning in extras removes them from circulation, and takes them out of reach of those who may experiment, or take them as an unsafe substitute for needed medications.

Getting Started
with a Clinical Assessment

The Counseling Center at Cherry Hill is an outpatient addiction treatment center for adults and adolescents seeking treatment for addiction, alcoholism, and co-occurring disorders associated with addiction and substance use. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) combines evidence-based, state of the art treatment with 12 Step principles. The IOP is an intense, focused experience designed to enable sober and productive living.

IOP may be recommended for individuals who do not require medically supervised detoxification, and who live within driving distance of the center, and for individuals who have recently completed residential treatment (rehab) and are in the early stages of recovery.

Eligibility for the IOP is based on a clinical assessment. Treatment is individualized, and full information on program options, costs, and schedules will be available after assessment.
