Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment

Outpatient Treatment in Cherry Hill, NJ

The Outpatient Treatment (OP) is a primary substance abuse treatment program recommended for some individuals, based on clinical assessment, for drug and alcohol addiction or dependency. An outpatient treatment program may allow an individual to participate in a primary course of treatment while staying within the local community, while continuing to live at home, maintain a job, go to school, or manage personal responsibilities.

Outpatient treatment is primarily group treatment, with small groups led by experienced, licensed Counselors. Group sessions allow exploration of important aspects of personal lives and substance use, in a safe and accepting environment. Participants in outpatient treatment are able to begin building a strong local support network right from the start, in early recovery. The local outpatient program acts as a hub for continuing training while in recovery, through participation in group and individual therapy.

Getting Started
with a Clinical Assessment

The Counseling Center at Cherry Hill is an outpatient addiction treatment center for adults and adolescents seeking treatment for addiction, alcoholism, and co-occurring disorders associated with addiction and substance use. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) combines evidence-based, state of the art treatment with 12 Step principles. The IOP is an intense, focused experience designed to enable sober and productive living.

IOP may be recommended for individuals who do not require medically supervised detoxification, and who live within driving distance of the center, and for individuals who have recently completed residential treatment (rehab) and are in the early stages of recovery.

Eligibility for the IOP is based on a clinical assessment. Treatment is individualized, and full information on program options, costs, and schedules will be available after assessment.
